According to Committee Book, No. 186 the Connecticut Act was of January, 1784, and was combined with a motion of the Connecticut delegates on the expense of defending New London and Groton together with

certain payments made to the Connecticut Line. The letter from the Governor of Massachusetts was dated Decembes 18, 1783. The report on the letter of October 28 seems to have been made previously (See 434). Both of these reports were rendered May 17. What appears to be the action taken on the first two matters is entered on the Journals June 1, 1784. For previous legislative history of the report on the letter of October 28 see the Journals (L. C. edition) vol. 26, p. 815 note.
