RECAPITULATION OF EXPENDITURES BY BUILDING DEPARTMENT-LESS EXPENDI- An achievement worthy of more than passing notice is the perfection of the St. Louis Pupils' Chair Desk, an invention of the undersigned. This Chair Desk has the approval of many of the most prominent educators as being the most practical Chair Desk, meeting the requirements of the varied class room purposes at the present time. Being of solid wood construction, will stand the abuses of the pupils who usually find a way to change any adjustment features which are ordinarily found in chairs of this type. The top can be raised in a hygienic position for reading, and in such, avoids any crowding in rising or getting in or out of the chair. The Board effected a great economy by letting a contract for 5,000 of these Chair Desks during the closing fiscal year. |
