The author uses as a base his extensive background in the construction of the most famous boats manufactured in Brazil and his association to the greatest boat businesses throughout the world. As the title suggests, this book will interest all types of readers, from novice builders to professionals. It contains information about materials and techniques for boat construction using composite materials and covers a variety of topics.
The author, a distinguished boat builder and specialist in the art of construction with composite materials, specifies in over 650 pages step-by-step detail techniques ranging from the basic to the most sophisticated in the ancient art of boat building. He incorporates more than 1200 illustrations and photographs of the most impressive boats built. Jorge Nasseh is also the author of “Advanced Composite Construction for Boatbuilders” and “Theory and Practice of Composite Construction”. All books are written in Brazilian Portuguese language.
The preface of the first edition of the “Boatbuilding Manual in Composites” was written by the American naval designer Tom Fexas, who talks about when he first met Jorge Nasseh in 1987 and his relationship with him since then. Tom Fexas explains Jorge Nasseh has always had a tremendous amount of influence on the world marine market by being able to continuously prove the most complex theories regarding boat construction.. In Tom's own words, "Jorge has been not only a good friend but also a great consultant and advisor for us, always having the answers for the most difficult questions. This is a result of his practical experience building high performance boats and his qualified education".
