Yes. Publishers, librarians, authors and the general public have all expressed interest in the Google Books Library Project. Many of the libraries we work with have publicly displayed their contracts, which show the full scope of their work with Google. These include: the University of Michigan, the University of Virginia, the University of California, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Texas-Austin, and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Though not all of the library contracts have been made public, we can say that all of them are non-exclusive, meaning that all of our library partners are free to continue their own scanning projects or work with others while they work with Google to digitize their books. Contracts can be difficult to interpret, so please let us know if you have questions or concerns about what our contracts say.
